NEW.
Well, my job just got a thousand times better!
New, at Manuel Latruwe Belgian Patisserie and Bread Shop, French macarons!
These little melt-in-your-mouth gems come in: lemon, pistachio, raspberry, vanilla, chocolate, and coffee. You get a bag of 6 for $12, which as far as I can tell is the best price in town.
So happy :)

MAC COSMETICS.
MAC Cosmetics are hands down my favorite makeup products out there.
It's true I'm not very adventurous with what I put on my face...I like things simple and classic. My everyday makeup usually involves some tinted moisturizer, powder, blush, and mascara. If I have time, I add some winged liner (my favorite look). However, I don't have the steadiest hands after my morning jolt of caffeine! Yikes.
Today, after the CRAZIEST of Saturdays in the cafe (thank you "Big Taste, Calgary"), I took my tip money stash and went straight into MAC. I know it's bad, but sometimes a girl needs to shop to feel better...not a great habit to have.
I wear black for work fives days a week so there's not much point in clothes shopping, but I CAN wear whatever makeup I want.
With the assistance of a very helpful MAC employee, I put together my very own custom palette. This was a first time for me, and I'll admit I found the color selection daunting because there are SO many colors to choose from! But I told my trusty helper girl I wanted a neutral-ish palette to give my blue eyes extra pop...and that's exactly what I got.
From left to right:
Naked Lunch
Satin Taupe
Handwritten
Shadowy Lady
I am sooo happy with this palette. And the girl who helped me showed me exactly how to apply the colors with the brushes I already have at home, perfect. It always drives me nuts when sales people try to sell you extra things you don't really need. Boo.
On another note, I also purchased the Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade for highlighting. It is a beautiful product and great for highlighting your upper brow, temples, and cupids bow. You don't need much either, so I expect this product will be lasting me a LONG time.
Other MAC products used in above photo:
Studio Fix Powder in NW15
Powder Blush in Mocha
Glaze Lipstick in Pleasureseeker (Heavenly Creatures limited edition)

V-DAY RECAP.
I hope all you lovers out there had a great Valentine's Day, because I know I did!
Mister and I had some amazing pre-dinner cakes from Manuel Latruwe - dark chocolate with creme brulee and burnt caramel with nougat. YUM!
And while I soaked in a nice hot lavender infused bath, he made me dinner ;)
No bouquet for me, but an orchid plant instead...my man knows me all too well!
All in all our V-day we pretty low-key, but perfect for a weeknight after work.
What did you do for Valentine's Day?

PREVIEW.
Just a heads up to all of my followers, I will be adding some bracelets to my Etsy shop this week so keep and eye out for them!
I've been working a lot on designs for Pearl and Anchor this past month and have finally come up with product I am happy with! Keep in mind that I don't have a lot of stock right now so if you see something you like you'd better snatch it up because that's it!
Thank you all for your love and support :)
